Cozy small Italian in Kashiwa

I had a regular joint birthday party at a small but very cozy Italian restaurant called "Il Giglio(イルジリオ)" in Kashiwa(柏). The restaurant is a bit far from the JR Kashiwa Station, but all the tables were occupied at Saturday night. I understood the popularity after spending good time there.
Exterior of "Il Giglio"
Bread and sparkling wine
Carpaccio of porgy
Tomato cream pasta with shrimp and squid
Grilled beef with mush potato and asparagus
Dessert
Cappuccino
The restaurant is run by only a chef and a floor staff. But the quality of dishes and service were very nice. What a high management skill. Dishes were delicious. Though expensive ingredients might not be used, the chef's ability made dishes tasty. Particularly pasta with tomato cream sauce, shrimp and squid was impressive. Very rich taste using the shrimp bouillon and cream. I liked the pasta which was boiled adequately as al dente.

The price is quite reasonable, which made us more satisfied. Worth for visit in spite of the location. We could also enjoy seeing cappuccino art with dessert. Lovely bear, rabbit, tree, etc. were created by hands of a male staff:) My rating is 3.6 out of 5. Gochiso-samadeshita and Happy Birthday!
