Behind the Meiji University(明治大学) in Ochaomizu(御茶ノ水), there is a famous sanuki udon shop named "Maruka(丸香)." Udon is a popular noodle in Japan made of wheat-flour. In particular sanuki udon, specialty of Kagawa Prefecture(香川県) has been popular all over Japan in this decade.

Maruka is famous as it offers authentic sanuki udon at high quality in Tokyo. Price is also reasonable. Basic udon with soup is JPY380. They open from 11:00 to 19:00 in principle, but close whenever udons are sold out. Interior is modern and we can eat udon listening jazz. The seats are always occupied. Around lunch, there is a long queue in front of the shop. Udon is delicious. Texture is strong as "al dente." I noticed many customers said "tasty" while eating. The price also makes us happy. My rating is 3 out of 5. Gochiso-samadeshita!
